Stepping Out of Silence – Shameless Plugs!

Wow it has been a long time since I have posted here. What on earth have I been up too in the last few months? Well aside from travelling around Australia, Singapore and Bali and getting engaged (hell yes I’m gonna be a Sadie) I have also been working on two shows and an arts festival! Below you can follow links and see more info on all these wonderful things and over the next few weeks I will go into far more detail about the shenanigans and plotting behind the scenes!

Touring UK, at Tristan Bates Theatre 26-29 June

So first up I have been in pre-production for TO FREEDOM’S CAUSE by Kate Willoughby supported by the Greater Morpeth Development Trust and Emily Inspires! This six hander play about the fierce some lawless lassie Emily Wilding-Davison is touring to various venues in the North East before coming to the Tristan Bates Theatre June 27-29 Perhaps best known for her iconic Epsom Derby protest where she stopped the King’s horse, Militant Suffragette Emily Wilding Davison was so much more than her rather dour Public image. This is the powerful story of some of the people who came into contact with Emily, who changed her life and whose lives she changed.

Skin Tight At The Park 16th July - 11th August

Skin Tight At The Park 16th July – 11th August

Then it’s on to SKIN TIGHT by Gary Henderson with Epsilon Productions at The Park Theatre in London this July 16th – August 11th!  I have blogged a lot about this project over the last few months – our adventures in Scotland and Exeter, the making of our trailer and now it is finally in London as part of the Park’s Inaugural Opening Season! Book your tickets for this one NOW! This has been a project of collaborative love since I was first handed the script two years ago. It is an energetic, erotic and emotionally compelling piece of theatre.  As one critic wrote: ANGELA BULL AND JOHNNY SCHUMACKER ARE A REVELATION.

Boot-camp festival 22nd -28th July

Kick Up The Arts festival 22nd -28th July

And last but by no means least I have been working as Associate Producer for The So and So Arts Club and in particular on the KICK UP THE ARTS FESTIVAL in July at The Actors Centre and the production of THE LAST CONFESSION by Dwina Gibb at the Tristan Bates theatre.

So I think there is a little something for everyone here.  Want political theatre? Tick.  Perhaps powerful physical and emotional story-telling? Tick tick. How about some master classes by top creative in their fields about how to give your career a Kick up the arts?….tick tick tick.

See you hopefully at one of the many brilliant things above….
